Matterport virtual tour FAQs
What is an interactive information point?
An information point is a hotspot inside your virtual tour that adds extra text, images, videos or links. It gives visitors more detail and context about a particular space or feature, right where they're looking.
How are Matterport hosting charges explained?
Your first 12 months of hosting are included with venue and business tours. After that it's £185 a year to keep your tour live, branded and hosted. Estate agent listings include four months, then £20 a month. If you stop hosting, the tour comes offline, but your photos are yours to keep.
How long does a shoot take?
Most shoots take between one and three hours, depending on the size of the space and how many outdoor areas we're capturing.
How many people are present during the shoot?
Just one photographer, so there's very little disruption to your venue or your day.
Can we include people within our tour?
Yes, as long as they stay still while each scan is taken. For most venues we'll find a quiet time so the spaces are clear.
Can you edit images?
Not inside the tour. It's processed automatically from the scans, so it shows your space exactly as it was on the day - part of what makes it trustworthy. It's worth dressing your spaces before we arrive.
How long until my Matterport virtual tour is ready?
Usually two to three working days after the shoot, depending on your package.
Where can I share my Matterport virtual tour?
Anywhere. We give you a short embed code for any page of your website, plus a link to share on social media, in emails and on directory listings.
